Mandatory Minimum Use of the Learning Management System (LMS) for In-Person Classes
RPCC utilizes Canvas as its Learning Management System (LMS). All faculty (full-time and adjunct) are required to utilize Canvas for all courses they teach, no matter the course modality. Each semester, each course must have the following components in Canvas:
Home page with the name of the course, the instructors’ name, the instructor’s contact information, the instructor’s office hours, information on how the course will meet (room number and days/times of meetings)
Completed and accurate syllabus using the syllabus tool in Canvas
Canvas courses must be published and available to students, with the two mandatory components listed above, three days before the class begins. In addition, all graded assignments that make up the final grade must be entered individually into the Canvas Gradebook as they are scored.
